We not only revamp your resume, but we also develop a strategy for you to create a simple and repeatable application process to produce consistent results, increasing your chances to be shortlisted for interviews.  The whole process – from initial meet and greet to resume reformatting, job description analysis, employer due diligence, resume revamp, LinkedIn tutorials, recruiter and decision-maker outreach, as well as grammar checks – may take up to 14 hours.  Our cost takes this time and effort into account. What you learn throughout our processes and the tools you walk away with will help you throughout your career.

We understand that working with a professional resume writer is a significant investment.  We also appreciate that not everyone can afford this service.  That said, we encourage you to think of our service as a key investment in your career that will reap strong returns very quickly. Unfortunately, we cannot provide discounts on our career consulting services.

Our Resume Services

As you will see in our step-by-step guide, we will work hand-in-hand throughout the process. Our resume writers will spend some time scrutinizing and deconstructing your resumes and transitioning your data into an ATS-friendly formatted template. Other than that step, we will work together to co-create your professional story at every other stage.

In total, there are 3 rounds:

 

Round 1:  Our writer scrutinizes, deconstructs previous versions and reformats those versions into a master version

Round 2:  You and the Resume Writer will co-create your resume line by line as you go through the career rebranding process.

Round 3:  A separate team will review resumes and cover letters for grammar, typos and errors.

We can conduct our services in Microsoft Word, G-Suite or Apple’s Pages – whichever is most comfortable for you.

This will depend on coordination between you and your resume writer. The two of you will probably be working hand-in-hand for around 14 hours.  Once the two of you complete the work, agree on the final product and you make final payment, you will receive the final product within 24-48 hours.

You will be required to send previous versions of your resume as well as 2-3 job descriptions you will be interested in pursuing.

During the process, you will also fill out a worksheet of the problems you’ve solved that will be used to summarize your experiences in your resume and give you a leg up during your interviews.

You will also be required to show up on time for all meetings and provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel.  During our meetings, you will need to be fully present with your undivided attention and prepared to work with all requested information.

You and your assigned resume writer will partner to write it together.  He or she will be recording the main points and interviewing you and you will be answering questions.  Together, the two of you will wordsmith the document into a cohesive and compelling story to fully communicate your value.  Through your work together, you will produce authentically powerful bullet points and impactful statements that will resonate with and wow your target employer.

 

Once the two of you have finalized content, a separate party may thoroughly proofread your resume and possibly cover letter (if you choose to purchase this service), correcting only typos, grammar errors and design issues.

We’ll create the best resume possible for you and give you the tools to prepare you for a successful job search, but we can’t guarantee you a job. Don’t believe any resume service that tells you otherwise – they are selling you snake oil. Resumes are the cornerstone of the job search process, but there are too many other factors involved for us to be able to make job offer guarantees.

We are writing the resume together and will be finished when you are satisfied.  You will submit the final payment when we agree on the final resume and will receive the product no later than 24-48 hours after the payment was received.

 

If you are not getting interviews within 6 months, we will look back and identify the problems and tweak it to ensure you have success. If you don’t succeed, we don’t succeed either.

The resume version that you and your resume writer co-create is a template.  You will only have to tweak a few specific areas for every position, depending on the needs of your target employer.  The process we teach you can be applied to all roles below C-Suite and/or Executive Director Positions.  This type of process focuses on your technical and functional abilities.

Our Cover Letter Services

We cannot co-create personalized cover letters as a separate service from the 1 to 1 resume service. As much as we would like to, we view cover letters as an extension of your resume. For example, your resume tells the story of your ability to solve a myriad of organizational challenges. Your cover letters explain how you can leverage your expertise to solve your target employers’ immediate challenges. The goal of the cover letter is to demonstrate that you are the one to address the organization’s immediate needs.  Thus, it needs to be concise and tailored to that specific employer’s needs. We will also provide you with a template that you can use to draft simple and powerful cover letters that will make your target employers want to meet you!

After our 15-minute conversation and you agree to the proposal and payment plan, we will send you a PayPal invoice.  Here is a typical payment plan for resume, cover letter and LinkedIn Optimization services:

 

Payment 1: Prior to Strategy Session (In Full)

Payment 2: 50% of remainder prior to resume analysis, deconstruction and formatting

Payment 3: 50% prior to sending client final living document drafts

Given that we are co-creating a product, it is all about chemistry between the resume writer and you.  Therefore, we have a 15-minute meet and greet to assess our partnership fit.  If we decide to move ahead, we will send you a proposal outlining the process.

 

Once you agree to the proposal and terms via signature and make the initial payment, we will begin our work together.
